CGS Crop Genetic Systems UG (LLC) is a company in the biotechnology sector founded in 2014.
Our independent research company is located in the laboratories of the Biocenter Klein Flottbek, part of the University of Hamburg.
We are currently conducting research projects in all areas of the agricultural field.
We are executing research contracts from companies and public research institutions in the field of genetics and biotechnology.
Key areas of responsibility are in the use and modification of commercial in vitro culture protocols for various crops.
CGS fills a gap in the research landscape of the biotechnology of crops, especially cereal crops. In Europe, fewer and fewer public
or private institutions can provide the same, high level of
expertise that we provide.
Our expertise lies in the extensive range of methods, available for a variety of crops for the establishment of in vitro culture protocols.
We also have extensive experience in the field of reproduction and use of cereal cell culture systems and their transformation particularly for cereals and oilseed rape.
Another focus of our work lies in the molecular analysis of crops.
CGS Crop Genetic Systems is working on public and private research contracts in the field of genetics and biotechnology.
In addition, CGS collaborates in publicly funded research projects as an industrial partner and executes administrative tasks of the application. We also provide help with project coordination or
can conduct the entire management of the project.
